A Warm Welcome awaits!
The Windmill Tavern stands in the centre of the pretty village of East Hanningfield. Built towards the end of the 17th century, the pub has remained a popular 'watering hole' for both locals and visitors alike, ever since.
You will always receive a warm welcome and enjoy 'traditional' hospitality - It's how it was when the 'Coach & Four' pulled up and what happens to this day, it's part of what we do at The Windmill... We look forward to seeing you soon.
At the Bar:
You can enjoy all the well known brand name beers and lagers along with a choice of 'real ales' such as Greene King IPA, Crouch Vale Brewers Gold and Fosters are all on tap.
We also stock a selection of reasonable priced wines and a selection of soft drinks for the designated driver or we can arrange transport for you with a local taxi firm, that way you can then enjoy yourself 'fully'!

Our Menu:
We offer a traditional menu, using fresh produce prepared on the premises.Fresh Skate,Haddock,Cod,Salmon all delivered from the markets daily. This is part of our commitment to quality, 'food miles' and support for our local producers.
Our eating area extends throughout the pub and food is served, Monday to Saturday 12 noon - 3pm and evenings 6 - 9pm; Sunday lunchtimes from 12.30pm-6pm, when we offer Roast Beef, Lamb, Chicken, Plus Starters, Homemade Desserts and our range of Fish available throughout the day.
"Good honest fare" is what we promise and what we deliver.
Social Nights at The Windmill:
On the social scene we hold a 'Quiz Night' every Wednesday evening and we'll be pleased to see you. The pub has an active 'Golf Society' which plays venues throughout East Anglia during the year. We are happy to accomodate any ideas you might have that will add to our fun social evenings...
